Tell the party leaders what you really think
Perhaps this is the ‘real alternative’ that many people were looking for in this election!
Heston Blumenthal actually failed his science O level, The Factory Live has discovered. The popular TV chef, famed for his scientific approach to cooking, apparently doesn’t even have the basic skills to work in a laboratory.
In fact the chef trained in art, dreaming of becoming an architect. Heston himself summed up his school life as “could do better” and chose girls and beer over studying. So if you’re thinking about becoming a chef, perhaps a degree in art is more suitable!
It certainly hasn’t curtailed his business acumen, having just added The Crown, a lovely old traditional pub, to his existing establishments in Bray, Oxfordshire, not far from his Fat Duck restaurant. Let’s hope he keeps it traditional, as not all of us relish the thought of Snail Porridge when you just want a pie and a pint.

This week saw the launch of the new Tim Burton film Alice In wonderland. With fans queuing from six in the morning to catch a glimpse of the illusive Johnny Depp, but will this film live up to its expectations or will it be just another weird and unpleasant twist on a classic tale? After the debatable success of Charlie and the Chocolate factory where Mr Depp took strange to a whole new level, it is quite scary to think just how far his character will go! With a cast ranging from the slightly twee Anne Hathaway to the outrageous Matt Lucas this film really is a mixed bag!! But will it live up to expectations, well, probably not, but we at The Factory Live love a good Johnny Depp movie….who doesn’t?

This week sees the coming of Shrove Tuesday which honours a time old tradition of pancake making. Originally it was to use up whatever was left in your cupboard now we have readymade batter mixes, fake lemons and pre-prepared syrups. Field Marketing Agency London The Factory Live has come across some very bizarre pancakes indeed from all over the world. In Japan there is a dish called Dorayaki which is a sweet pancake filled with bean paste and in Korea a dish called Pajeon and Bindaetteok is made with sea food,
chilli paste, and lots of veggies in the form of a pancake.
In Britain we like to try some strange toppings such as apple sauce and boozy fruit concoctions but in Ethiopia they eat pancakes with virtually anything in them!

This pancake is served with meat and vegetables! So why not push the boat out on Pancake Day and really go crazy with the mix!
