From promotional guy to Hollyoaks Guy

Jamie Lomas pops in for a chat

Life long friend and old school promotional staff Jamie Lomas popped in last week for a long over due catch up, on the wirlwind success of his rise to fame on the popular TV show HollyOaks.

Jamie and The Factory Live Director Clive Robinson, have been friends since childhood. From skiing trips to promotional campaigns, Clive has always been there to help Jamie where ever he was able. Jamie first decided to get into acting back in 2003, when up until then he had been working on a number of promo campaigns . Jamie went to Canada to learn his acting skills before returning a few years later all armed and ready to go.
” I remember asking Clive to see if he could pass my showreel around to any of his contacts within the industry” said Jamie
“But I really didn’t need to” remembers Clive. “It was amazing to see how much my old friend had learned in such a short time, he was focused and determined to make it, and it wasn’t long at all before he did.”

Apart from a few minor roles, Jamies first big break was playing Alex Dempsey in Sky One’s The Dream Team.
“This was great for me, ” says Jamie, “I got to work with some great people and made some fantastic friends, who I still play football with now.”

It was in 2006 when Jamie was first cast in Hollyoaks, as bad boy Warren Fox. “I seem to keep ending up as the bad guy in all my roles” laughed Jamie, when in real life this is far from the truth.
Jamie who is now dating Kim Marsh, has a beautiful baby boy Billy, who is the apple of his eye.
“Having Billy has put a totally new out look on my life” said Jamie, “He loves Kim to death, and she is great with him. Life is really good at the moment for us!”

Jamie was offered a slot as an Event Manager on one of our current jobs, but he laughed, ” I’d love to, but i just don’t seem to have the time any more!!”

We wish Jamie all the best, and look forward to seeing him again, sooner rather than later.

Hi there, been coming to your site frequently and admire what you have done very much. Though, if I am honest, I am somewhat envious of your rankings in Google ;) you are ahead of me all the time ;) . I have a reasonably new site, and hope you don’t mind me asking, but would you use the technique they talk about here? ht tp://webmasters-tools.info/i/linkbuilding.php I have been, and been getting pretty profitable results so far, but just curious what else to do in terms of promotion. I know it’s slightly audacious to ask, but can you advocate anything? Thank you.
